Pennsylvania Weekend July 18-19

We went to Pennyslvania this past weekend for a family wedding -- my cousin Anne's daughter Virginia got married!! The girls just loved the hotel room:
The wedding was at St. Leo's Catholic church in Ashley, PA. It was wonderful to be there with everyone. The girls were so fascinated by the ceremony -- they were spellbound by the bride and bridesmaids and loved seeing family members and the church. They were also very happy with their new pink dresses!

Here they are at breakfast in the hotel:

Our new friend Marisol generously gave both girls new dolls, which they loved. Thank you!

And, we had fun at the family brunch on Sunday! Anne and Virginia thoughtfully made amazing gift bags for the girls with snacks, an activity book and crayons, bubbles and cute notebooks. They loved opening the bags and playing with everything.

On our way home, we had lunch at Friendly's. Nothing like an ice cream sundae to end a good meal!

Yesterday was the 3 week mark -- the girls will be here for 2 more weeks. The time has flown -- it's hard to believe so much has happened. We have lots of fun things planned including a visit in Tivoli with Chris's sister and her family, a day trip out to Jersey to see Patricia and Jessica and Jillian, and a visit in Riverdale with Jen and Gigi and Theo. And, next week the girls will come with me to KIPP to meet everyone -- they are very excited about that as well.
Thanks again to everyone who has been so generous with supporting us via text and email and phone calls and also to everyone who has given gifts to the girls. Thank you notes are in the works! We so appreciate your kindness.

The girls look very pretty in their pink dresses. We hosted a boy from South Korea (exchange student) the year my nephew married. Wom was fascinated with the wedding ceremony too. The ceremony was different here than in South Korea.

Yes, nothing like a summer wedding to tickle the fancy of any little girl! The girls look just darling in their pink dresses, and I cannot wait until it is our turn to meet them at KIPP! - Sarita
