Camp Johsonburg & Spring Lake

Fer and Wendy went off for their first week ever of sleepaway camp, to Camp Johnsonburg, which is a church camp at the Presbyterian camp center for New Jersey. We hope they had a good time -- we emailed them daily and checked the website for photos (ah, modern life) but we wait with bated breath to hear all about it tomorrow!

And, while they were away, Chris and I enjoyed our first-in-three-years vacation! We went to Spring Lake, a pretty town on the Jersey Shore. It was so wonderful to have 5 consecutive days alone together! We read, slept, walked on the beach, ran on the boardwalk, played tennis, saw a movie, and generally enjoyed ourselves sans children. Now we are looking forward to some fun family time with the Weeks/Gosa clan in Maine, and with the Lankenaus in Tivoli!
