Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend in Tivoli. Saturday the girls had a chance to hang out with Apple and Millie, 2 little girls whom they met last summer at cousin Jack's birthday party. The four girls became immediate best buddies, and we saw them on Sunday and Monday as well. Hopefully there will be more good times together in the future!







On Sunday night we celebrated Gigi and Grandad's 45th (!!!!) wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner party at Christine and Matt's house. It was a wonderful evening -- the pictures really don't do it justice. Somehow everyone's eyes were closed! Of special note was Peter's reading of an Ogden Nash poem as a toast -- "Near and far/Near and far/I am happy where you are./And it's true I've never larnt/To be happy where you aren't." It was beautifully read and I think expressed perfectly the loving feelings in a strong marriage, and in a happy family as well. Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! We love you!!
