August 2015: 1D concert, Jersey shore, Uncle Brian's surprise birthday

Fer had a fabulous time at the One Direction concert at MetLife. She looked forward to it all year since Christmas, and the lads did not disappoint.

As the girls returned from camp, we had the great sadness of saying goodbye to Happy. He was our dear boy, but got so sick over the course of the summer we had to let him go. His Facebook obituary: "Rest in peace Happy dog, our beloved and quirky boy. We will always remember your funny ways andhow much you made us all laugh, and most especially the patience and love you gave to Wendy, who adored you from the moment she met you ("yo quiero consentir a Feliz!"). We will miss you and love you forever."

It helped cheer us up that a few days later, Aunt Christine came to visit for a few days with Jack and Daphne:

Then we all headed to the Jersey Shore with Matt, Christine, Jack and Daphne and spent a week in Seaside Heights, together with neighbors Amy and Abby and Wendy's friend Gabby:

At the end of the month, we headed to the Philadelphia area to celebrate Uncle Brian at his surprise bowling/bbq birthday party. Happy 30th!

July 2015: 4th of July, Grandad's birthday, camp fun, and welcome Jasper!!

We had a fun 4th of July with friends and greatly enjoyed the fireworks in nearby Maplewood:

The girls, as always, had a wonderful time at Camp Johnsonburg and Camp Hoover:

June 2015: Pancakes in Princeton, Father's Day, End of School, Visit to Virginia

We began a new family tradition of sampling pancakes around New Jersey and kicked it off by taking Happy to Mami's alma mater where (at least in her opinion) the best pancakes are to be found at PJ's Pancake House!

We celebrated Grandad, Matt and Papi in Tivoli for Father's Day (missing Aaron!):

Various festivities for the end of school included Wendy's ELA class winning a trip to the Prudential Center to meet the New Jersey Devils ice hockey team, a party to celebrate the last day, "Mom Camp" for Wendy and friends, and trips into NYC with Mami for Fer to see a special exhibit at MOMA and for both girls to see The King and I!

At the very end of June we headed down to Virginia to see the Gosas and spend time with family to kick off the summer of 2015!
